| Quebec City-based rock band Mercury City begins recording their debut album in The Pocket today with producer Trevor Kustiak. The three-piece band features Bruno Alain on vocals and guitar, Philippe "Dr. Phil" Bouillon on bass and drummer Allan Gilbert, and their sound is in the vein of U2 or The Fray with a fresh, modern twist. The band hopes to have their album completed by early 2008 and to hit the airwaves and the road shortly thereafter. |

| Producer Mike Turner is putting the finishing touches on a brand new 6-song EP from New Brunswick's Age of Daze. This is the band's second recording in The Pocket with Mike, and they have taken what they have learned from the first recording and subsequent touring experience (including opening for such artists as Collective Soul and Juno-nominated Hedley) and stepped it up to the next level with the new EP. Their first single, "Afflicted," will launch at rock radio in the US and Canada this month. |

| The 2nd Leg of Evans Blue's Curbside Confession of a Catastrophe tour kicks off today in Sioux Falls, SD, as the band drops back down into the US from Canada. Evans Blue is joined by support acts Framing Hanley and Submersed and will wind their way down through the Midwest and back up to the Northeast, wrapping up in Boston for WAAF's Locobazooka on September 9th. |
